Behind the Screen is a multimedia project produced by the 2020 Dow Jones News Fund interns that explores the strains, inequity of resources and challenges that come with remote learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The interns attended a nine-day online training program led by Michael Wong and his colleagues at the Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University. Training covered video, audio, photography, social media, audience engagement and web design. They worked together for another two weeks to showcase their storytelling skills by producing Behind the Screen.
