The Dow Jones News Fund is pleased to announce it will award $50,000 in grants to nonprofits and academic institutions for hosting summer journalism programs for teens from under-resourced communities. Organizations have until April 1 to submit a proposal.

The Dow Jones News Fund welcomed 22 journalists from around the country to its second Early Career Training Program in Nashville last week. The three-day opening session featured a mix of inspirational and skills-based training from award-winning journalists and thought leaders in personal finance and public health.

David Cho, editor in chief of Barron’s, and Eric Mandrackie, senior vice president of finance and global controller at Dow Jones & Co., have been elected to the board of directors of the Dow Jones News Fund.

The Dow Jones News Fund presented veteran journalist, industry leader and educator Loren Ghiglione the 2023 Richard J. Levine Journalism Champion Award at its annual board meeting on Nov. 3.
