Interns attend a week of training led by journalists from Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE) at the University of Missouri May 30 – June 4, 2017. Interns refine skills like making Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, learning computer-assisted reporting and analyzing and cleaning data. Follow their progress using #djnfIRE17.
