The Dow Jones News Fund is hosting an interactive workshop, “Collaborating Across Boundaries: Preparing Students for the New Newsroom,” Friday, June 12 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Dow Jones Princeton headquarters.
The workshop will showcase an innovative method used at The College of New Jersey that helps journalism students develop critical thinking, problem solving, creativity, communication, and collaboration skills. Professors Monisha Pulimood and Kim Pearson will lead a hands-on demonstration on their interdisciplinary program and teaching techniques.
The purpose of this gathering is to build awareness, momentum and understanding of 21st century skills journalism students will need to thrive in the modern-day newsroom. We are inviting journalism educators, media representatives and funders – each of whom has a valuable voice to add to the conversation.
The workshop will be held Friday, June 12 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Dow Jones Princeton headquarters. The Dow Jones News Fund will provide complimentary morning refreshments and lunch for our guests.
Due to limited seating and Dow Jones security, advanced registration is required.
