The Dow Jones News Fund digital media interns covered the Phoenix jazz scene during their 10-day residency program at Arizona State University. Armed with the latest tools and technology from the Cronkite School of Journalism, 11 interns crafted robust multimedia packages on the history, the culture and innovation of the Phoenix jazz scene.
The result is The Rhythm of Phoenix, a digital publication featuring high resolution photos, podcasts and video, produced and with powerful, professional equipment and cutting-edge digital software.
The DJNF digital media program is led by Michael Wong, director of career services at the Cronkite School of Journalism. After completing the residency, interns were deployed to digital newsrooms to put their finely honed skills to work.
